CYCLE 2025: a look back at a pivotal year

In 2025, Cyclevia reached a new milestone. A fourth year of accreditation marked by numerous achievements, but also by the launch of more hands-on, operational activities on the ground. The annual report, published at the end of the summer, provides a detailed overview of the key figures and events of this pivotal year.

Over the past year, the sector has maintained its momentum: a collection rate of 57.3% and a recovery/recycling rate of 86.6% – two figures exceeding the regulatory target and build on the momentum observed since the producer responsibility organisation was established.

The highlight of this year, however, remains the producer responsibility organisation's transition to a mixed EPR scheme. This new status considerably broadens its scope of action: Cyclevia, which until now was limited to a funding role, can now commission partner operators to manage certain collection and treatment operations itself. In practical terms, this has resulted in the roll-out of ‘Ma collecte’: a free solution, designed for professionals and local authorities, which has covered the whole of mainland France and Corsica since 1 October 2025.

The next phase of the accreditation looks set to be just as busy, with three priority areas of work: extending Cyclevia’s scope to include sales packaging within the sector, developing tailored solutions for the overseas territories, and embedding ‘Ma collecte’ into everyday practices.
